It's fully live and visual — no guesswork. Open the editor, search for any place in the world, then customise the map style, colours, shape, and text until it looks exactly how you want it. What you see on screen is exactly what gets printed. The whole thing usually takes two to five minutes.

Yes — that's the whole point of the live editor. The preview is a direct representation of the final print at high resolution. Colours may appear very slightly different between screens and matte paper (screens are backlit; print is not), but the layout, text, and map detail will be identical. We're confident enough in the accuracy that we offer a reprint guarantee if you're ever unhappy with the result.

Yes — any city, town, village, street, landmark or set of coordinates anywhere on the planet. Just type it into the search bar or paste in latitude/longitude coordinates if you want to pin a very specific spot.

Absolutely. In the Labels section you can add a title, subtitle, date, names, coordinates, and a short tagline. Every field is optional — use as many or as few as you like.

Yes. Your design is automatically saved to your browser as you work, so you can close the tab and come back later. You'll find it exactly where you left it. You can also use the Share button to generate a link to your design — useful if you want to continue on a different device or share it with someone before ordering.

Every poster is printed on 200gsm premium matte fine art paper. The finish is smooth and non-reflective — colours are rich and deep without any glare. This is the same paper stock used by professional print studios. We're proud of how they come out.

Yes. Damaged, misprinted, or wrong in any way that's on us — we reprint and reship at no cost. Email us within 30 days with photos of the print and the packaging, and we'll sort it. We stand behind every order.

Yes. All four sizes are standard frame sizes — A4 (21×30cm), B3 (30×40cm), B2 (50×70cm) and B1 (60×90cm). They fit frames from IKEA, Dunnes, Penneys, and any high-street framing shop. You don't need to get anything custom cut.

Our most popular size by far is B2 (50×70cm) — it has real presence on a wall without dominating a room. A4 (21×30cm) is perfect for a shelf or smaller space. B1 (60×90cm) is a statement piece, great for hallways and living rooms. If you're unsure, go one size bigger than you think — prints almost always look smaller once they're on the wall.

Yes — every size can be ordered framed, in black, white, natural wood or dark wood. Framed prints arrive ready to hang with the hardware included, so there's nothing to buy and nothing to assemble.

No — it's shatterproof plexiglass rather than glass. It looks the same on the wall, it's far lighter, and it won't break in transit. Better for a big print, and better for a house with kids in it.

Almost certainly not. The plexiglass ships with a thin protective film over it, and that film often looks tinted, cloudy or scuffed. Peel it off and the surface underneath is perfectly clear. It's the most common thing people get in touch about, and it's nearly always just the film.

Either works — every size we sell is a standard frame size, so a shop-bought frame will fit without anything custom cut. Ordering it framed costs more, but it arrives finished, protected in transit, and ready to go on the wall the day it lands. If it's a gift, framed is the one to pick.

Every poster is made to order. Printing takes 1–4 business days, at whichever of our print partner's facilities is closest to you. After that: Ireland & UK delivery is typically 3–5 business days, EU 5–8. You'll get a tracking link by email the moment it ships.

Shipping is free to Ireland and the UK on orders over €30 (about £28). Below that it's a flat €4.95. International rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

Yes. We ship to Ireland, the UK, across the EU, and worldwide. If you're outside these regions, shipping rates are shown at checkout.

Unframed posters are rolled and sent in a sturdy cardboard tube — never folded. The tube is sealed and wrapped to protect against moisture in transit. It arrives ready to flatten and frame (just leave it rolled loosely overnight if needed). Framed prints are boxed and corner-protected.

Rare, but it happens in transit. Email us within 30 days and we'll reprint and reship at no cost. One thing that really helps: keep the packaging and send photos of the print, the box inside and out, and the shipping label. That's what lets us get a replacement moving straight away instead of going back and forth.

Because every poster is custom-made to your exact design, we can't accept returns for change of mind. However, if we make an error or there's a quality issue, we'll always make it right. Please double-check your design in the editor before ordering — what you see is what gets printed.

Because posters go into production quickly, we can't guarantee changes after checkout. If you realise there's a mistake immediately after ordering, email us as fast as possible at mappedmomentsco@gmail.com and we'll try to catch it before it prints. The sooner you contact us, the better the chance we can help.

There's no pricing information in the packaging, so it arrives as a clean gift. You can also ship directly to the recipient at checkout.

Yes — just enter their address at checkout instead of yours. We don't include any pricing information in the packaging. If you'd like a handwritten note included, mention it in the order notes at checkout and we'll do our best to add one.

The most meaningful ones tend to be: where they grew up, where they live now, where they met their partner, where they got married, or a place they always talk about going back to. If you're stuck, where they're from is almost always the right answer.
